Breast Augmentation

Dr. Kiesnowski performs breast augmentation surgery at an outpatient surgery facility which is affiliated with a local hospital.  This surgery is performed under a general anesthetic and takes approximately two hours. Revisional surgery of prior augmentation may take longer.

Surgical approaches include inframammary (under the breast), periaereolar (around the nipple) and trans-axillary (armpit).

Doctor performs many of his breast augmentation surgeries with a "trans-axillary" approach.  That is, the implants are inserted through the armpit and placed under the muscle thus leaving no visible scar on the breast.

We use Inamed/McGhan and Mentor saline filled implants and/or silicone gel implants for cosmetic augmentation and always include the extended warranty in the price of surgery.

Patients are seen for an initial consultation to discuss their concerns and goals regarding augmentation.  This appointment generally takes about an hour.  When a decision has been made to move forward with surgery, patients are seen for a second consultation to discuss preoperative forms and complete paperwork for the surgery center.

Prepayment of surgical fees is required 7 to 10 days in advance.  In some instances Doctor may order a pre-operative mammogram to establish a baseline for future screening.

After surgery, patients are usually seen the following day then at one and two week intervals for suture removal and to evaluate healing.  Patients are then seen at regular intervals to evaluate overall progress and assess healing. Postoperative evaluations are included in the cost of the procedure.
